Scope of Work
The objective of this project is to collect seasonal water quality and quantity data under low and both summer/winter mean flow conditions at 37 stream monitoring stations. These stations correspond to the watershed segments, which are, or will be, affected by coal mining and reclamation operations. The sampling stations are part of an OSM monitoring network that has been regularly sampled for the last 25 years. Most sites are small streams and rivers that are relatively easy to access by vehicle and/or a short walk, are not located on any mining operation, and are typically collected by using simple grab sampling techniques near the center of the stream channel and at mid-depth.
