Consumer Products
The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has been regulating consumer products for children since the 1980s. The passing of HR 4040 (a.k.a. CPSIA or the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act) demands an increase of awareness of materials used to manufacture products for our children. Environmental Monitoring and Technologies, Inc. has been at the forefront of providing laboratory analysis for OEMs, suppliers and contract manufacturers worldwide to assess consumer products for substances regulated in the US, European Union and international community.
EMT provides a complete array of analytical services to the consumer products, electronics, and automotive industries. EMT is an active member of the two international committees (IEC and ASTM) that are currently working to standardize the test methods used to perform analysis of Consumer Products for material declaration purposes.
EMT is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), established in Illinois in 1984 with accreditations to theISO/IEC 17025:2005 standard, the National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Committee (NELAC) program and is an accredited Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) laboratory.
