Equipment Installation
Environmental Monitoring and Technologies, Inc. (EMT), a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), is capable of installing the wastewater monitoring equipment required for your facility. According to the General Pretreatment Regulations for Existing and New Sources of Pollution (40 CFR 403.12), compliance monitoring should be completed utilizing flow proportional sampling techniques.
To achieve a flow proportional sample, you typically have a primary measuring device (PMD) installed in the monitoring chamber. Weirs and flumes are the two most common types of primary measuring devices. No two monitoring chambers are identical, consequently, weirs and flumes often must be custom fabricated to work accurately.
EMT’s experienced and highly trained Field Staff will measure, custom fabricate and install the PMD to accommodate your monitoring chamber and to ensure accurate data collection. Your facility’s production does not need to be stopped or altered while EMT installs the primary device.
A majority of sampling chambers or outfalls are “confined spaces”. EMT has a proven track record of safely and accurately performing work in these conditions. All of EMT’s field technicians are 40 hour OSHA trained.
In conjunction with the PMD, a secondary measuring device, or flow meter is required. EMT has experience and expertise to determine and install a secondary measuring device, which will best serve your application. Because EMT is not a factory representative for any manufacturer, we have the ability to choose and install the flow meter that will provide the optimal performance for your application.
