Environmental Monitoring and Technologies, Inc. (EMT), a Service Disabled Veteran owned Small Business (SDVOSB), provides environmental laboratory  and wastewater sampling services for 80 % of the largest payers of user charge fees to the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRD), also known as the District.

EMT provides complete turnkey services to users of the District and has the largest field wastewater sampling staff within the jurisdiction of the MWRD.   Our NELAC accredited laboratory is certified to analyze over 650 chemical compounds and our experienced staff is equipped with state of the art analytical instrumentation.

Our experienced staff of Project Managers have “hands on” experience working with the MWRD and have extensive knowledge of the ordinances and regulations that apply to every category of Significant Industrial Users (SIU), as well as any other users within the MWRD jurisdiction.

EMT works with companies on every level. For user charge, we provide laboratory analysis, complete all MWRD forms, including the RD-925 and RD-920.  For companies that must do compliance sampling, we complete the RD-115, RD-112, RD-114, RD-118, and will provide knowledgeable advice concerning the “Sewage and Waste Control Ordinance”.

EMT has saved numerous clients hundreds of thousands of dollars in user charge fees.    We have worked with the MWRD for more than 26 years to reduce the user charge fees for our clients while helping them maintain compliance with the District.
